Nice article about the 2006-07 National Championship run. I don't recall enjoying a 3 week period in sports any more than that run. I got stranded by a snow storm on my way to East Lansing for the first two games. Then flew with my son and grandson to Greensboro. Having gone that far, Alex and I spent a long weekend in Cleveland for the Final Four. He was 8 at the time. What a great experience!

The LSU game in the Final Four was one of those sort of unbelievable moments as a fan. I remember, particularly, at halftime how all of the RU fans at the game were just stunned at how badly the team was thrashing the Lady Tigers. It was like a dream.

And Piph's dash down the court against Duke - a 1 on 4, as I recall - was so daring, and so characteristic of her lack of fear on the court.

Those 3 weeks and the "8-day week that was" when RU knocked off Tennessee at home, Texas on the road, and #1 LSU at home. There was so much excitement around RU women's bball back then. Would love for us to get that feeling back.

I wish it wasn't so hard to find video of most of the big games from earlier in CVS' time here. Most of the recordings I made over the years are either unwatchable (vhs) or lost. Plus, I 'd need a functional vhs player. It's probably easier to buy a record player than a vhs machine these days... lol!

I remember our first win over uconn under CVS at the RAC in '98. I think my hearing was permanently damaged, it was so loud in there.
