Men's soccer off too a tough start

Being on the short side of a 5-0 result to anyone is unacceptable at this point in the Donigan era. I know we are missing a couple of guys but still they need to be better than this.

I have not been posting much and may be accused of returning as the squad takes a turn for the worse but I felt compelled to offer some observations.
Rutgers lost 4 quality starters in Morgan,Tainter, Correa, and Laury and needed to bring in a quality class to replace them. If you then add in the loss of Sa for the year, the task gets even more difficult. As I have said before, your coach needs to bring in top quality Academy kids every year in order to compete with the better schools consistently, A pipeline to Jamaica can help but shouldn't be necessary given the abundance of talent in NJ every year. I have seen the squad play twice and don't see this season going well. They have a top quality NJ player sitting out this year in Ethan Decker and hopefully Spencer Hamilton returns to the squad at some point. If Sa (not sure he will personally) comes back for his 5th year then you get back the pure quality in the midfield you seem to be lacking now.
Next year should be better I would expect with the addition of those three players.

Thanks for cleaning up the aisle mods. I'd hope no one that graduated from ru would post that stuff

We won't need to worry about seeing that again.

We have lost all 3 games against ranked teams but we have not even scored a goal getting outscored 8-0 in the 3 games. That is unacceptable as we started the season at #25. This doesn't look good at all so far. I saw the Creighton game and they passed the ball so much better than we did. I guess we will find out soon just how much pride our guys have. You should never lose 5-0.

Let see how it goes this afternoon against Michigan State. On BTN at 5pm. I am going to try to watch some of this to see how they look.
