It's not the Death Star but...It's a novel idea, but that wouldnt win a championship. Now if all five schools could chip in, buy a portable Fieldhouse to move with all the players, we'd have a chance every five years. Maybe we should solicit the company used for The Boardwalk. They took an entire setup to the bowl game. They should be able to transport the portable Fieldhouse.
The only reason Rutgers hasn’t won a National Championship is money. Rutgers fans have never donated enough to win a National Championship.
We need Money to build a Fieldhouse and support NIL.

Not true.Money alone isn't going to defeat Ohio State,Michigan and Penn State to just name 3 elite football programs. The only reason Rutgers hasn’t won a National Championship is money. Rutgers fans have never donated enough to win a National Championship.

Ok, what else do we need? Not true.Money alone isn't going to defeat Ohio State,Michigan and Penn State to just name 3 elite football programs.
"fans" don't build field houses. A group of really big time (multimillion) donors and/or corporations do.I responded to the post. If you have a better rationale, share it.
I do. But I'm not going to repeat it ad nauseum like you. You must have auto reply set on your account.I responded to the post. If you have a better rationale, share it.
Rutgers raised $100M in 2019 for Big Ten build"fans" don't build field houses. A group of really big time (multimillion) donors and/or corporations do.
For example, Kevin Plank put up $25 million to help fund Maryland's FH.
The answer is the answer.I do. But I'm not going to repeat it ad nauseum like you. You must have auto reply set on your account.
And YOU have no clue what it is Mr. USC of the East. The answer is the answer.
Baghdad Al, don't ignore the fact that $25M was state money and RU really need to raise around $500M given all the facility needs.Rutgers raised $100M in 2019 for Big Ten build

Get with the program @-RUFAN4LIFE- . We have $50M in state money this go around, for the Fieldhouse, and only need to raise $75M, and will bond the rest. This is priority #1 because football has significant revenue potential.Baghdad Al, don't ignore the fact that $25M was state money and RU really need to raise around $500M given all the facility needs.
Since RU won't have a President or AD in place until later this year that means you're at least two years from shovels in the ground right now. So raise that total cost by another $25M since the original price tag is several years old already. Plus it's convenient that you ignore the JMA renovation (or possible new arena), lacrosse stadium, baseball/softball facility among other things. The $100M from the state isn't close to enough for everything RU needs to get done.Get with the program @-RUFAN4LIFE- . You think Texas is short on funds? How many nattys have they won the last 15 years? The only reason Rutgers hasn’t won a National Championship is money. Rutgers fans have never donated enough to win a National Championship.

2 years? I’ll sign up for 2 years right now. But it’s probably going to take a lot longer to raise the funds. Any incremental costs will be financed by bonds. The Fieldhouse designs are done. All that’s needed is for construction costs to be raised.Since RU won't have a President or AD in place until later this year that means you're at least two years from shovels in the ground right now. Or RU would win a National Championship, the NCAA would immediately investigate, and would invoke the Death Penalty.Rutgers would end up being 5th in the rotations and after the 4th season the NCAA would "get wind of what was going on" and shut it down.
Uh, yes it will! Not true.Money alone isn't going to defeat Ohio State,Michigan and Penn State to just name 3 elite football programs.
You know There is not going to be a field house anytime in the future so let it go. There are no plans right now for one and no money.I responded to the post. If you have a better rationale, share it.
you should sit this one out, since you don’t know what you’re talking about. You know There is not going to be a field house anytime in the future so let it go. There are no plans right now for one and no money.
Repeating this everyday is annoying and driving people away from this site. It's not cool to Richie.
The price of doing business in New Jersey will always keep Rutgers behind the 8 ball with so many Big Ten schools.you should sit this one out, since you don’t know what you’re talking about.
The designs are complete. All that’s needed is the construction costs. Some are donating towards this endeavor. We need more participation.
It’s not the price of doing business. It’s desire. Costs are higher but so are salaries. If people wanted a Championship, they would support a Championship. People on this board will openly say they want to win but don’t want to support NIL. This is not a tenable stance if we want to win, consistently. The price of doing business in New Jersey will always keep Rutgers behind the 8 ball with so many Big Ten schools.
I'll be more polite here. Winning and buying a Championship are two different things. I think most Rutgers fans are happy to be competitive and winning more against our peer programs. Yes beating a top 10 team now and again would be great. BUT I'm not into "buying" a team or spending Godly amounts of money to stroke my ego. It’s not the price of doing business. It’s desire.
