Kind of ironic (am I right?) that the plummet in Rutgers sports (remember Rutgers football was ranked in top 20 in 1976, beat Tennessee in 1979 and outplayed Alabama in 1980-though we weren't " big time") in the 1980's was brought on by the work of a Rutgers MBA.

As an MBA grad it seems like everyone except the school/athletic administration itself takes it's graduates serious. Anyone remember a Rutgers MBA on the athletic admin staff?

Not sure I understand your comments. Are we supposed to know the name(s) of people you are referring to?

Large Companies based in New Jersey (might not be accurate, top of my head).. I know some of these support Rutgers but one might think the stadium naming rights should have been a bigger deal withone of these stepping up.

Prudential
J&J
Merck
Honeywell
Chubb
ToysRUs
Campbell Soups
M&M Mars
Verizon
Vonage

So, yeah.. Rutgers.. or New Jersey as a whole.. is doing something wrong where there just isn't enough state pride out there to drive such entities to support the state u in major ways.

This assumes that stadium naming rights are the only or leading indicator of strong support for Rutgers.
