He is a sniper. Just what you need from the lefty spot down low. He has a very quick stick and dunks everything within 2 feet of the goal. He had one goal against St. John's where he threw 3 low high low stick fakes to goal. You rarely see someone do that. Was basically toying with the goalie. The attack sets up real nice for him. You have Beida who is the field general out there with great vision and can score when needed, Heningburg who can both score and feed seemingly equally from both sides of the cage, and Charalambides who just slays the left side. Equally is impressive is his outside shot. Very, very accurate. These Canadian kids, playing indoor most of their lives, seemingly look at the outdoor goals like they are massive, which compared to indoor goals, they are. Their sticks are always super slick, and this kid is no exception. 10 goals in his first two games is making a statement. Has to be leading all freshmen in the nation.
This squad is setting up nicely. If we can avoid the injury bug, continue to get better and evolve on defense and faceoffs, there is no question this will be the best squad since early 2000's. Gotta get past Fairfield, with Stony Brook looming. I see Bucknell got 60 shots off against Fairfield, which bodes very well for us. If we can get that one, Stony Brook will be a monster game. They too are undefeated, and have a squad of their own. That will be a great game and fun to watch from a fan perspective. One at a time for the team, but I can't help but look forward. Army was the first big test.
