If you took away Nelson's legal problems and he had stayed at RU, would he have been the best option at QB going into this season, despite Rettig's ratings coming out of high school and despite Rettig and Laviano's performances this spring? Having never seen Nelson play in our system but having significant B1G experience, I have to believe he would have been our starter going into summer camp and probably into the season.
