Most Improved College Football Teams - One Man’s Predictions

Indiana I believe has Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska and Washington.

We don't play Iowa though. Did he mean to say Nebraska?

He said Iowa twice

Listen I’m excited for the season and hope/ expect to see noticeable improvement…. What that will mean in terms of # of wins? I don’t know. But I know it won’t be 12!! LOL

12 - 0? Finally found somebody crazier than AL.
Well, if I am remembering what he said early on correctly, he also said VaTech could be 11-1, and the loss wasn’t to RU. That prediction and RU being. 12-0 or 11-1 with only loss in Big Ten can’t both be correct

One thing fer sure, he is right about our schedule.
With the defense we have coming back which has a bunch of MEN playing on it this year, and with a starting running back who could be on an NFL roster right now if he didn't come back.
this is a team with the most talent since we have been in da B1G.
Do we have a better chance to go 12 & 0 or a better chance to go 5 & 7?

Been saying 9-3 pus 1 in a bowl game so sign me up. IF our QB play and continued Oline uptick continues we already know we will be better at WR and TE. Actually we have never had more potential at the WR position. As the old man Eric Foster chanted back in 2006.” It’s Our Year.”

Book it! lol, obviously we'll all root for this to happen, but I'll take 7-8 wins as I think the schedule is still pretty damn tough and we still have QB questions - if we had a serious talent at QB, I'd say 10+ wins would be possible with our running game and defense.

By the way, he acknowledged his error in the comments section on the YouTube page: "I’m not sure why I was thinking Rutgers plays Iowa, even better for them. Toughest games are USC + Wisconsin."

Interesting that both USC and VTech made his list as well (one as an honorable mention).

I think Vtech is the key to the season - much like North Carolina was in '06. Come out of Blacksburg with an L and all the positive thinking and confidence get flushed.

I've been saying all along that the VT game will be a huge key to the season. However, I don't agree that we will lose all confidence and everything gets flushed if we lose. Our kids know that this is a good team playing in one of CFB's toughest environments. If we lose a tough, competitive game then I think we'll be ok. If we got crushed that would be another story.

9 wins is entirely possible, as the VT game should be the one that tells us who we are
Coming off a bye week, I expect us to win

With improved QB play, a solid running game and a top 20 defense, I'm excited to see what this year brings

Tine to take that elusive big step forward!

Our schedule is not easy as you make it sound . Yes we are not playing the hated BIG 3 but we are still playing some tough teams to beat.

Disagree that our confidence gets flushed. This team is not built that way mentally . There is NO quit in this team . An L at VT would not prevent theses guys, especially our D , to not go out with confidence and beat teams on the rest of the schedule .

Agree. Too much experience and talent for that to happen.

We are not playing the Top 4 teams in the B1G, all top 10, 20 teams.
in the B1G that's an easy schedule!!! relatively speaking.
The only way its easier would be to change out USC and Nebraska for Purdue and Northwestern.
Its the B1G the best Football Conference in the Country.
Every game in the B1G is a battle!!!

Of course RU is going to potentially be one of the more improved teams. RU doesn’t play three previous automatic losses in OSU, UM and State Penn, plays a depleted UW team…ucla is average and usc, while tough, is not exactly Bama. Otherwise RU plays teams it should beat and some are well past their hay-day (Nebraska, VT come to mind)

It follows that RU is going to be better. Now mind you, this is clearly a much improved program…much improved. 9 wins should be the base expectation. Clear progress!

According to youtuber "Aye Gee" (whoever that is) Rutgers is the most improved football team in college and will go 12-0 this year!

I love the optimism, but I have to wonder what he's smoking (and where do I get some) given that most fans are probably thinking more like 8-4 or 9-3 this year . (He makes rutgersal seem like Debbie Downer by comparison.)

At least it's different than the usual "Rutgers stinks and will finish last" predictions we're accustomed to.

Until we know how good the QB is, we need to temper all this talk. This feels like one of those seasons where you take it game by game until you know what you have.

Rutgers (and Schiano) have never come through when there are expectations. We are better as the underdog. I really hope I am wrong and would love a great season like that though. 8-9 wins is more realistic. Feels weird typing that after the Ash years but we are getting there.

But neither has our fans come through when they are needed most.

we play 2 of his honorable mentions.. USC and Wisconsin.. as well as his number 10 VTech. But we avoid Indiana and Iowa.

12-0? Sign me up! This man is a genius! Yet he thinks we play Iowa.. we don't do we? Oh.. in the Big Ten Championship game vs Iowa.

If you watch the video on Youtube he corrects himself in the first comment.
ahhh.... how do we decide who goes to the Big Ten championship game? Might we b e 12-0 and NOT go to the game because 11-1 Michigan or 11-1 Ohio State is ranked higher? We'd eventually have to whup em in the expanded CFP I guess... after our BYE!
