PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Nov. 27, 2018) - Rutgers Athletics announced today that the men's basketball game versus No. 9/8 Michigan State on Friday, Nov. 30, at 6 p.m. is sold out to the general public. It marks the first November sell-out at the RAC for men’s basketball since the Scarlet Knights hosted Princeton before 8,524 fans on Nov. 22, 1997.

The Scarlet Knights have experienced ticket growth each season under the leadership of head coach Steve Pikiell. Season ticket sales have increased 7% over 2017-18 and average attendance through five games has improved 45% from last year. Rutgers currently ranks 81st nationally in average attendance, the highest point during Pikiell’s tenure “On the Banks.”

Rutgers students can still acquire tickets for Friday’s game by clicking here. Tickets are going fast, so students are strongly encouraged to enter their claim in order to guarantee a seat. Fans still looking for tickets are encouraged to visit StubHub, the official fan-to-fan ticket market place of the Scarlet Knights. All those attending are advised of an alternate traffic pattern.

In 2017-18, Rutgers enjoyed multiple home sell-outs at the RAC in the same season for the first time since 2011. The 8,325 spectators vs. Purdue (Feb. 3, 2018) was the largest at the RAC in 15 years.

Friday’s contest versus the Spartans will be televised live nationally on BTN with Kevin Kugler and Jon Crispin on the call.
