Ok , we won the game.

On the other hand I wonder if Pike shouldn't use a 30 point margin to work on some things:
1. Young doesn't know what he wants to do out there on O
2. Mathis needs to develop his shot (his M.O. is a driving to the basket - with many blocks or fumbles)
3. The team needs to work on hitting 3's: the +30 with under 5 to play could have been a chance for Yeboah, McC, Geo to take some 3's and work on getting better
4. Team: Stop throwing idiotic passes (e.g. lob to someone from 30 feet away= High probability TO).
5. Stop jawing with Refs about fouls (esp. KMc)
6. Finish the play instead of trying to dunk everything (we may have lost 3 or 4 today...wasn't counting)

And yes...I'm thrilled that we beat the Hall, and held a good Pat team to less than 50 (especially their scoring guard, who really wasn't scoring till late).

We're 9-3.

We actually have a shot to have a good season, for what seems like the first time since the flood.

Happy Holidays! :CHOP:

I think the reason JY played so much today was Pike giving him a shot against an inferior opponent to find his O. However it’s just not there. It’s experiment time over, we’re 12 games into the season. Myles Johnson doesn’t shoot 3 pointers, but he’s a great player at what he does. JY is an elite defender but he needs to accept that role and stop trying to be a guy that dribbles inside in transition and causes fouls/turnovers and atop shooting these jump shots he must be 20%. Play D my man and then give the ball up don’t push it. Pike needs to sit down with him

If he would slow it down (physically / mentally) … with some kind of plan (including passing the ball to open teammates) he'd probably get to show off his jets.

I’d take 20% from JY from three. He’s shooting 3-25 for 12%.

Good recap of game.Mulcahy passing to Johnson for dunks was the highlight of the offense .Stifling defense in first half settled the game with a 17-0 start.

Crazy as it sounds, he came in shooting 13% from three and managed to LOWER his season average by a point. Contrast that to Myles who came into the game shooting 73% from the floor and actually RAISED it by more than a percentage point. Myles is on some kind of mission.

Maybe Schiano should be looking at Young for RB. He is clearly not afraid of contact and lowers his shoulder well as he runs right into defenders.
No offensive charges in football!!!!:Football:

we had pretty high expectations for JY coming in...some predicted he would lead the team in scoring, minutes, etc.....

it is frustrating because you can see the potential for being a great player.... it is that he has a real hard time finishing at the basket, and once he makes his move, the option of passing the ball out is not in his mind.....

so we wind up with many unsuccessful possessions.....

IMO, he has not earned anywhere near starter minutes, 10 to 12 minutes is about all he should have at this point, unless the light switch comes on. Unfortunately it might not happen...
