2. There are 100 kids who have not been arrested and are in no trouble with the law. I'm confident that they will rally and play for each other. If Goodwin or others need to make an undesired position switch, I have faith in the Captains to help smooth things over.
3. Arrests for violent crimes are most unfortunate, but is part of the crisis management landscape for college football today and Rutgers needs to handle it well. It's a black eye for RU, no doubt, but this is part of life for almost every P5 program. You can never excuse the actions of these players, but there is no excuse if the highly-paid professionals at RU can't handle the fallout properly. Generally, RU Football is a net positive. The program needs to be presented that way and mistakes need to be owned.
4. I don't hold Flood responsible for all 100+ players 24/7. But it's obvious that RU took a flyer on some kids because of the lack of secondary depth. I have no problem giving a questionable kid a shot (because I was a "questionable" kid at one time) but if you take a chance on kids, you better have people on the coaching staff that are feared more than beloved. 6A. Yes, I would take GS back IF Flood goes. Question is whether Schiano's ego will allow him to come back to RU instead of taking an NFL DC position or HC at another P5 school where he can be credited with another reclamation project.
