I would expect Janarion, Robert Martin, and Hicks to get a minicamp invite at least

Let's hope he turns up as a "feel good" story, playing his way into shape in a good team environment somewhere and then tearing it up when he's ready to go. I want him to make people miss badly and have his own "C'mon Man!" segment on ESPN.

He ran the ball less than 40 times total. Besides, he played qb so he wasn’t on the field in place of Hicks or Martin.
Still not sure what the question was. Was it that Martin and Hicks would have had more carries but for Odin?
Maybe this is what was being referred to in the 2015 Iowa game?

  • 1st and Goal at IOWA 3

(5:53 - 2nd) Tylin Oden run for 1 yd to the Iowa 2
  • 2nd and Goal at IOWA 2

(5:53 - 2nd) Tylin Oden run for no gain to the Iowa 2
  • 3rd and Goal at IOWA 2

(5:53 - 2nd) Chris Laviano run for a loss of 1 yard to the Iowa 3
  • (2:10 - 2nd) Timeout RUTGERS, clock 02:10
  • 4th and Goal at IOWA 3

(2:10 - 2nd) Chris Laviano run for 2 yds to the Iowa 1

Surprised Hicks has not gotten an opportunity yet. I always thought he was a better runner than Martin.
I thought so too, but Martin's numbers are double Hicks.
Hicks:
Run: 257/1351 yds
5.3 ypc
7TDs: Receiving:11/898.1yp catch 1 TD

Martin:

Run: 449/22745.1 ypc
18 TDs
/20/135 6.8 yp catch 0 TD

He numbers are significantly more because he got significantly more opportunities. Notice Hicks ypc is better but even more importantly he has much better big play ability, something that was sorely lacking.

Hicks right averaged over 5 yards a carry. I like both Hicks and Martin. Was strange how career of Hicks went.

Worst sequence in the history of football.

Nothing against Ash but he pretty much derailed Hicks' chance of having any success. The run game was so much better under Flood, much more big plays. I see the same thing happening now with Trey Sneed, who seems to be the odd-man out.
