Don’t know how to link. But very bad story for Rutgers atheletics on a macro level. Pat Hobbs really screwed this one up!
It’s from USA Today. Is the link you are referring to the women's BB message board ?
Looks like a local story but the national paper picked it up. Hooray. It’s from USA Today.
Man, everyone is an idiot who doesn’t know what they’re doing according to you, yet linking a URL is akin to splitting the atom…Don’t know how to link. But very bad story for Rutgers atheletics on a macro level. Pat Hobbs really screwed this one
She should think twice on how she spends her retirement moneynothing recent on her twitter feed. just some posts from early March where she's crying that she is going to retire with 30% less money than a man
goddamn i wish i was that man
thanks and that article makes Stringer look like she's making this mess drag on longer that it should be.saw this one
Rutgers Basketball Coach Stringer Out On Paid Leave For 1 Year
Legendary Rutgers women's basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer has been on a $1-million paid leave since last April, for reasons unknown.patch.com
She will not end this because she needs the money and everyone in the Rutgers athletic department knows it and it is beyond a damn shame what she is doing she has disgraced herself!!!!!!!!!!thanks and that article makes Stringer look like she's making this mess drag on longer that it should be.
I knew she was on LOA but thought the length was unspecified so only CVS could end it.
Now it seems like RU has a say because of the extensions given to Stringer to continue on her LOA.
I would guess it's a health reason that the RU HR Department has a say in extending her LOA and feels thay have no legal grounds to deny extending when Vivian request one.
That's not saying it's fair to the program, just that legal complications might arise if an extension request is denied when Stringer asks for another extension.
In my POV this mess is entirely on Stringer refusing to admit that she can't return fully healthy and will drag this mess on until she's ready to give up the ghost , even at the expence of the program.
I thought the money was guaranteed? Otherwise, what is the point of saying she could have a most likely PR administrative role at the same funding? She will not end this because she needs the money and everyone in the Rutgers athletic department knows it and it is beyond a damn shame what she is doing she has disgraced herself!!!!!!!!!!
Lou, you are the king of making unnecessary threads when there are already threads on the same topic.Don’t know how to link. But very bad story for Rutgers atheletics on a macro level. Pat Hobbs really screwed this one up!

I also am under the impression that Stringer wouldn't lose her salary if she moved into administration so I also don't understand the she needs the money so won't give up being HC.being implied.I thought the money was guaranteed? Last RU Women's HC that felt she was being underpaid compared to what the men's HC was making , went to IllinoisDid she actually say that? Wow. What does the salary of the men's coach have to do with her? Did someone force her to sign the contract?
I believe the tweet you're mentioning was about women's pay in general compared to a man's salary, not her situation.nothing recent on her twitter feed. just some posts from early March where she's crying that she is going to retire with 30% less money than a man

Giving Coach Stringer all the sympathy and understanding she may ever deserve/need in this awful situation, the single worst part of this article is:
"The parents of players on the Rutgers women's team told the Bergen Record they feel Rutgers put on a "masquerade" to "cover up" the fact that Stringer was not there."
Watch...Rutgers will come out looking like the bad guy here, no matter what. I'm starting to doubt whether Coach will even speak up on the school's behalf for having supported her. I hope I'm wrong. Understanding that there may be legalities like crazy in what's going on, it's hard to figure why Coach can't come out with any kind of statement herself.
That is the issue. This could be a no win situation for Hobbs/administration, once they gave CVS that ridiculous contract extension.Giving Coach Stringer all the sympathy and understanding she may ever deserve/need in this awful situation, the single worst part of this article is:

She knows if she stays silent this entire mess will be laid at Rutgers feet and cast them in a negative light. I have no doubt if Rutgers tries to remove her from her coaching position unwillingly, she will raise hell to every media outlet that will listen. Hobbs and Rutgers are completely fvcked, she'll go full on scorched earth. She's had a year to figure out what she wants to do. There's no other way to put it, Stringer is holding them hostage because she knows she can.Giving Coach Stringer all the sympathy and understanding she may ever deserve/need in this awful situation, the single worst part of this article is:

Yes sir this has been going on way before this contract she has burned any good will she had all those previous years by doing what she has done to Hobbs and Rutgers this past 6-7 yearsShe knows if she stays silent this entire mess will be laid at Rutgers feet and cast them in a negative light. I wouldn't usually nitpick, but your title is wrong. AWOL stands for absent without leave. That does not describe CVS.Don’t know how to link. But very bad story for Rutgers atheletics on a macro level. Pat Hobbs really screwed this one up!
