Looks like gambling is becoming accepted by those who regulate sports and the athletes that play them

>The reasons for this possible rules change are several, all of them interesting:

-- There's a general fatigue around enforcing gambling rules considering how wide-spread sports betting has become in American culture ever since the Supreme Court overturned the federal ban on sports wagering in 2018. Thirty-nine states now allow sports betting, and it's become a common pastime among young people (more on this below), and generally there's a feeling that the NCAA and its members are wasting their time prosecuting college golfers for putting $100 worth of action on a Monday Night Football game.<

Call me old fashioned but all of the Draftkings commercials and ESPN betting analysts and so on add a cheap and sketchy feeling to the games. Watching the Stanley Cup kind of felt sad, like, is this the best they can do? Do they need this moeny that bad? I'm trying to watch a hockey game here, not hang out in a dirty Atlantic City casino.

I also hate who they seem to be targeting as well...

But all of this, is not only ruining trust in sports but many lives as well. How can any sport league ever punish a player for gambling anymore.

I heard an interview where Charlie Baker proposed banning prop bets for College games, and I think that's a totally reasonable idea.

When I have ESPN on watching a program reporting on sports and the betting experts become part of the program I'm watching, remote time to change channels..
Seeing well known personalities touting gambling sites isn't something I like either.
I have nothing against gambling on a whole, just against making it look like easy money

Just make that college athletes can’t bet on college sports
A good idea, but bound to be challenged .
Right now it's disallowed, but if gambling on the pros is approved you can bet your sweet Bippy that the no college will be challenged in court .
Then it might change to no betting on your school and on any sport played by your school , along with any opponent it plays that year, in any sport
