Any idea why we'd come in so late?

Just a guess but perhaps the staff feels less confident about another prospect they already offered.

Almost all of his offers came between July 14 with most coming after July 24. Which probably means he played well in the Adidas Finale and at the NCAA Academy in Houston late last month. Then he got one offer every 7 or 10 days and announced a top-8 round August 22.
