Kathy Duff: President of the Cagers Club for Rutgers women’s basketball fans and a football season ticketholder, Duff is a 60-year-old Bloomfield College alum who donated to the build fund because she understands the role facilities play in recruiting.

Jon Newman: A WRSU student radio alum, the principal donor behind the rise of RVision and an Audi Rutgers Club member, Newman is no stranger to the role of Pied Piper.

Alison and Pete Tverdov: A married former gymnast and former football defensive lineman, the Tverdovs buck the perception of well-established middle-aged donors

Karim Homsany: Financer of an annual athletic scholarship named for his father and designated for an engineering student (currently a women’s track and field athlete), Homsany always has believed in stretching himself to give to Rutgers.

So Mike Tverdov's parents are captains? Is Mike Tverdov to Rutgers a forgone conclusion at this point?

I'm right here I'm in already that's why I'm "bitching" as you say. Time for you to step up and join the team. Come on Janowski now your the one that is bitching. When I can give more I surely will because every dollar counts.

I was bitching a little, well, more pointing out that donating $10 a month is probably not a hardship for the majority of people on this board.....and I just signed up today to be a captain.. But I was already a donor.

Who here is going to commit to $10 a month or more & be on my team?

1st of all I didn't call out anyone by name so don't get those panties too bunched up.

2nd of all you haven't been the only one bitching but you've been a lead bitcher now that you remind me.

3rd of all you've been bitching for the past month and they just announced the captains program yesterday. Are you a captain? Are you going to recruit as many donors as possible now that the Athletic department is giving you the platform and even incentives to do so? Giving is not enough to allow you to bitch at the low number of donors now.

4th of all I've given a substantial amount of $ to the department last fiscal year to the Scholarship fund so mind your own bees wax son.

Dear @chrisru99 (and @ru66, who should sign up as a Captain too)- please note the old saying that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Good luck in your endeavors, as you hopefully soften your approach to increase the number of donors. In other words, Bee Nice. Nobody wants to be berated or insulted.

you excuse makers who justify why not to contribute are a laugh--what some of us have said is that 1000 or so donors is a disgrace and now it is evident that 10000 or more are needed validating our concern--and oldtimer, if you had any smarts you would have figured out that I get calls often and am someone who is relied on to give often and a lot--keep being an uninformed ahole it fits you--as for knightsh#t who gives a sh#t about your attacks-- a dumb a$$ --unworthy of a logical response

Nobody gave any excuse for not contributing here. Never said I did not contribute, and don't feel the need to beat my chest and others over the head with what I have done.

I am not a Captain I am an 8-1 but I did donate to the build fund but if you become a captain id say it is about time because we need facilities not bricks. Facilities is what matters at Rutgers for me so that's what I gave to.

LOL that's what I thought.

Stop bitching about donor count in every thread if you can't man up do something about it. Rutgers is offering you the perfect opportunity right now to help increase the donor count.

Also my Brick is helping fund scholarships which just as badly needed as facilities.
 
I know Karim and his brothers well. You'd be hard pressed to find more proud, loyal and successful sons of Rutgers.
 
MrsScrew - you need to advertise that you will use the captain role to verify donors on this board.

People all the time are like "I donate, trust me" on here - you can be the proof and people can be like "I am on @MrsScrew team - verified donor!"

I will join your team once the time line resets for next years points.

@611george a captain makes a 5 year commitment, the same as team members, minimum of $10/month. but my job as a captain is to find 25 other people willing to commit to donating at least $10/month ($120/year) for 5 years.

@eceres RU Build fund verifies for me that the donors have signed up for the commitment. I don't ever know what people are donating, just that they committed for the 5 years & I get credit for them being on my team.

You just click on the link below, choose your donation amount and fill in the rest. then you let me know that you signed up to donate and, viola, you are on my team. I don't get told how much you donated, just shoot me a message here or via email at nursemegg at aol.com, that you did sign up and let me know your first and last name so I can let the Build Fund people know you are on my team!
