The main appeal of The Counter is that customers are able to build their own burgers by choosing ingredients from extensive lists of meats, buns, toppings, and sauces.

In addition to beef patties, the menu features exotic burger choices such as ahi tuna, bison, and vegan veggie. It is possible to forgo the bun and create a "burger bowl," a customized salad similar to Chipotle's "burrito bowl."

Is this more restaurant style (yay) or Shake Shack style (boo.)

Diesel and Duke's is great. I hate BurgerFi because it's a ripoff of Shake Shack which I already dislike. 25 Burgers is okay if you're into variety in toppings, burgers are kind of like a hybrid between the two styles. Not a fan of White Rose at all. Then there's, um, Blitzburgers was decent if you're into super greasy from what I remember.

World of beer and the counter are the same owners. They may own another chain that will take it's place. WOB has a large food menu now. When they first opened the food was terrible. Why go to the counter and get a burger when you can be at WOB?

OT: hidden Grounds opening 2nd coffee house in the former frozen yogurt shop @ 106 easton

106 Easton is their current address, right? which former yogurt shop? If it just further along on Easton, that would seem too close. btw, to anyone who hasn't been there, Hidden Grounds is a really great coffee shop so I am happy their business seems to be good.

It's the yogurt shop next to KBG, right by the train station below the Easton Ave apartments. Hidden Grounds has been doing very well and has been a great addition to Easton Ave. I hope The Counter is only temporarily closed, they had service issues but the food was very good.

I don't think it's been mentioned on this board but a place called Fritz's opened on Easton recently, they remodeled an old house and did a great job. Lots of good stuff on the menu.
