RU 1V8 and 2V8 both finished 4th in their 1st heats...1V8 beat USC and 2V8 beat Gonzaga.

1V4 boat moved on to the A/B races tomorrow, while the 1V8 and 2V8 narrowly missed the cut and will race in the C/D races tomorrow.

Day 2 off to a great start as RU 1V8 boat wins over Duke, USC, Jacksonville, and Rhode Island.

RU 2V8 wins its race over Oregon State, USC, Gonzaga, and Rhode Island.

The Varsity 8 and 2nd Varsity 8 qualified for Sunday's C Finals, which determine national places 13-18, while the Varsity 4 moves to the Petite Final for places 7-12.

RU finished 13th in the standings ( out of 22 teams). Texas and Stanford finished tied for first. Ohio State and Michigan finished ahead of RU but it appears the we have narrowed the gap.

I would hardly call it a “step back.” Obviously you would, but the facts are finished 16th during the regular season, BUT 13th at the regatta. Also, I believe we lost several of our best rowers to graduation. It was simply a “reload” season. A little “context” sometimes my friend.
