Based upon my reading of the report, Floor violated interval rules, trying to support his student and the program. He used his personal email address to protect Barnwell and his privacy. He was acting on the best traditions of in loco parentis and not trying to pressure anyone. The help he offered regarding the paper was legitimate, legal, and within scope.

I don't see any moral turpitude. Instead I see passion and an earnest attempt to help, where times were violated.

Despite the FACT that some in the leadership of this institution are angling to use this to bring Schiano back, I continue at this moment to support Flood.

I do think we need to run a program like Stanford v where academics and character matter and that we need to line up expectations regarding that from Board to Prez to AD to Coach and that means that progress on the field may be more gradual or in fits and starts since we will day no to more talented kids who might like to come here.
