If you traveled clear across the country, got to your seat 10 minutes late, the game for Rutgers fans was over.To stand a chance at winning a road game against a superior team, that first drive for you needs to take some time off the clock. That first series for your opponent needs to be a 3 and out. Getting the first score would go a long way towards stabilizing the game.Winning the turnover battle needs to happen. None of these things happened, not even close. Yet I watched multiple games yesterday where teams on the road in very similar situations did many of these things. Teams 20+ underdogs, either won games outright, or at least hung in there for a good part of the game. I don't know the fix, and it's more than one person to blame, but all an all, a very disappointing start to what I'm hoping can still be a bowl season.
