Nothing like taking the crowd out of the game.

If you traveled clear across the country, got to your seat 10 minutes late,the game for Rutgers fans was over.To stand a chance at winning a road game against a superior team,that first drive for you needs to take some time off the clock. That first series for your opponent needs to be a 3 and out. Getting the first score would go a long way towards stabilizing the game.Winning the turnover battle needs to happen. None of these things happened, not even close. Yet I watched multiple games yesterday where teams on the road in very similar situations did many of these things. Teams 20+ underdogs, either won games outright, or at least hung in there for a good part of the game. I don't know the fix, and it's more than one person to blame,but all an all, a very disappointing start to what I'm hoping can still be a bowl season.

To kind of quote Jim Mora, "Bowl season? First we have to win a game!" We just have to hope the team improves each week from here on out. Four wins before the season was optimistic to me.

This. We certainly looked lost and confused yesterday , looking much like a deer in the highlights in the 1st Qtr.
Washington fans in the Parking Lot after the game came up to us and said ( in a very polite and non- demeaning manner) " You guys looked bad out there ....really bad. Did you win any games last year ?" .

First game nerves and a new Coaching staff with limited experience is partly to blame.
Progression will be the key moving forward.
