Cuomo’s free tuition bill will likely see ‘tweaks’
Free tuition if you are under $125k income per year. I'm guessing the number of smart & poor NYer's going to Rutgers is relatively low. But another shift in the competitive landscape.

I really don't like this addition to the government free stuff give-away for many reasons.
#1 - Taxpayers without children and those families that make over $125k have to pay for the 'free' tuition.
#2 - The Smiths & Jones' live next to each other. They each have 2 children of the same ages. The Smiths
earn $124k and the Jones' earn 126k.
#3 - Same financial situation as #2 except for the Jones' have 2 additional kids.
#4 - The Smiths & Jones' now live in different towns. Smiths live in low tax Elmira NY and Jones' live in
Bethpage NY and have to commute to NYC to work.
'Free Tuition' should be replaced with a program to pay off the student loans of real low income (much less than 125K)
students after they actually graduate from college with a degree in hand.
