ok..i realize that NJ as a state, despite having a fraction of the population as its neighbor, still ranks better for HS football recruits.

but C"MON, we just landed the NUMBER 4 recruit in the state and the NUMBER 8 is about to sign on. This is the NJ equivalent of getting JG and Ron Johnson. Ok, and for all of those that say NJ is much higher ranked, lets take the #8 and #16 (since NJ is twice as good) and we have just signed Haskins and Solomon Manning

I cant give Flood enough credit - the resistance we get from NJ players who use us as a safety school is obvious, and we have spent the bulk of our resources going after them. That is the cart before the horse - since they wont consistently come here til we are winning. So Flood is doing the next best thing - finding winners from other states (NY, PA,FLA - who value playing near NYC) and using them to create a winning foundation. Eventually, as the scholarships start filling up and the Jersey kids see that Rutgers is no longer a safety school, they will start committing so they dont get left out, we will start seeing a little of that this year, and IF we can get to a bowl next year, this will happen even quicker
