NYC will be basketball Nirvana in March

NCAA pulled tournament out of Jersey due to the state pushing for legalized gambling. Area around Pru Center is changing and in 5 to 7 years will be the hot spot.

Traditionalist. Think force feeding the B1G season to get the Garden this year is just not worth it. While rest may be nice it’s gonna be a long time to stay idle. Wonder how Purdue, MSU and OSU will feel? May be even worse for late or last seed on Friday? Two weeks off? That’s a long break.

It's going back to the Indianapolis/Chicago rotation for at least four years after this season. Doubt we see it back in NY/DC even after that.

Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delaney went to high school in Newark -- St. Benedict's Prep and grew up in Essex County. Playing the Big Ten tourney in Newark would be a wonderful gesture. Of course the money would have to be substantial.

He hasn’t lived in Jersey in 50 years. That means nothing.

The only east coast cities it will ever be played in are NY and DC.

And it’s Delany.

He might not be a local shill, but Delany (“Delaney”, when left to auto spell) wouldn’t be the first St. Benedict’s Prep alumnus to reach out to Newark.
