Since the N.P,and R lines and the No.1 trains are not going to bypass the stations at 49th and 50th st until 7 PM,what is to stop some jihadist from getting off at either of those stops and getting inside the triangle before that time?

I went to see the ball drop from the Hotel Astor in 1965,a time when the biggest danger was from the subways themselves about to engage in an illegal strike.

There are very few "bomb sniffing dogs". The majority of the dogs you see are standard protection & apprehension K9 animals, deployed in a variety of situations as a show of force. Their real job is to make people nervous.
