OL Jacquis Webb To Transfer

Whatever, it's from NJ.com. There was a Todderick video embedded in the story.

Here's why I wrote that. I do not click on links to Duggan or Politi. I will click on Todd Hunt links because I've always thought he treated RU fairly.

Apologies. I fixed it. Like I said, was reading quickly this A.M., and saw the big Todderick video. Did not mean to sound snarky. [cheers]

I guess this will be another hit on our APR.

I thought transfers in good standing didn't count. I really don't know so that is a question as much as a statement.

Transfers in good standing, as you put it, do not hit the APR. That's how Schiano's APRs were always so good - as long as you get them out of the program and off to Rhode Island before they become ineligible, it's all good.

OK thanks. I was pretty sure that was the case based on other discussions but I've never read the rule so couldn't say for sure.

You can expect transfers every year.
The ones that feel they won't play much and want playing time usually transfer no matter if there's a coaching change or not.
Actually I expect one or two more looking for playing time and knowing they probably won't be getting it as Scarlet Knights will transfer.

One of the many flaws of the APR. The fact that you can have a 0% graduation rate and have a perfect APR score shows you what garbage the APR is.

While technically possible, it is unlikely. If guys are making good academic progress for 4 or 5 years, people are going to graduate.

The old graduation rate statistic was not timely and transfers had a too sever impact.

But isn't the end goal of a student to graduate? Not factoring graduation in is like evaluating a pilot's performance from take off until final approach and not even factoring in if the plane landing safely. It completely worthless measure of performance.

The question is, do schools that have a high APR also have high graduation rates for players who stay in the program.

The problem with graduation rated is that the first recruiting class that we can look at now is 2011. With the APR, it is more real time information.

Oh, I thought people were discussing transfers out at the beginning of the tread and they had missed one grad transfer like Jacobs.
