damn I missed that. Thanks. We lost
Dude shut up we just scored over 80 points with freshman and sophomore alone. If you're gonna be that unenjoyable after, don't watch what was a game that we took massive strides in.Probably said the same thing after the 3OT game against Illinois three years ago. Then we finished in the basement every year.
We have to start winning these games.

Do I know you? Go back to your basementThought you might have since this was such an enjoyable game for you. I can think of at least 11 better ones this year.
Yes it was, but it was frustrating with the FT misses and Pike not being able to switch back to a zone or double team Benazhvilli. Tough, tough game. Our kids are ready for this level, but we need a bit more seasoning with our D and our FT's and turn this close loss into a win.enjoyable games I have seen in years.

yes that's true, but the never give up and playing hard the whole game including OT made it an enjoyable game even though a loss.Watching this game makes me think the future is bright and that's enjoyable in my book.We lost
You do realize how well our FRESHMAN played today, right?Yes let's keep saying the same thing every year. Complacent as fck
I'm happy they played well. But I'm really tired of moral victories.
I love where we're going and I knew this game would be tough to win. But we had them and let it slip away. I love the growth of our kids. With a true PG and better FT we win this game.yes that's true, but the never give up and playing hard the whole game including OT made it an enjoyable game even though a loss.Watching this game makes me think the future is bright and that's enjoyable in my book.
Very happy that someone with a Rutgers background can assess the next level. You do realize how well our FRESHMAN played today, right?

This was more than just a moral victory. It's growth and development and will be a stepping stone for our future. We figured some things out today.I'm happy they played well. But I'm really tired of moral victories.
I don’t recall running the fast break as much as we did today. With freshmen and sophomores! This was more than just a moral victory. It's growth and development and will be a stepping stone for our future. We figured some things out today.
We've seen glimpses before from Harper that he likes to run, but nothing like this. It was a revelation to see all the young guns play like that today.I don’t recall running the fast break as much as we did today. With freshmen and sophomores!
That would require more effort than glancing at the score after not watching the game then coming on here to complain that it's just another loss. You do realize how well our FRESHMAN played today, right?

Great comments. Its very apparent we will need anthis isnt a moral victory but I think you have to actually see how we played in the game and what players played well to gain some perspective. Tough loss but we were a play or two from winning. Giorgi was unstoppable and some times you just tip your cap to the other team. There is nothing RU did to lose this game, Illinois won it, they just beat MSU, they beat Maryland and have won 4 of 5. Most didnt even think this game would be close. I will take that everytime in a rebuilding year where record really doesnt matter. RU is 4-3 in games vs similar programs
this....its all about this..its not about the record this year
its about progression of the freshmen and we continue to see them getting better and better...sure it may not translate to wins but as long as we are progressing I cannot complain
James Bailey would be nice.yes it sucks but IMO not the game I think to critique them so heavily...now go out and lay an egg vs Northwestern, then yeah I think its fair game.
one troubling issue is the Illinois program..this is a program that will be a nemisis in trying to move up the standings. I think they have a higher ceiling right now and we will have to find answer for Georgi...need to hit that recruiting trail hard...this conference isnt getting any easier.
If Georgi does that again to us, his name will be like a curse word to Rutgers fans.yes it sucks but IMO not the game I think to critique them so heavily...now go out and lay an egg vs Northwestern, then yeah I think its fair game.

I liked a lot and disliked a lot.
At some point you have to find a way to defend Georgi. Put blame on bigs for letting him get good position. Put blame on guards for allowing uncontested entries. Maybe put some blame on coaching staff. They tried a few possessions of zone but that was a fail

True.
Would have liked to have seen Johnson or Doorson actually get in front of Georgi and deny the easy entry pass.
You left out the A right before the E at the end of his name. Next time get his name right..We ran into a machine tonight. Not sure anyone in the conference could have slowed down Benshvialsidkfbisifje tonight
