Not since the days of Bloustein, I have known of a RU President with the sense of autonomy and what some may call "assertiveness" (also balls).

His football related decisions were virtually his own decisions, with the likes of Gregg Brown and Dean Kirchner pretty much serving as enablers.... few Bog members, high end officials, and practically no donor was consulted on the termination of Hermann/Flood and the hiring (let alone) permanent of Hobbes. I am also hearing that in recent weeks he has made a number of decisions in the same manner regarding a number of fairly important steps.

And while Hermann may have been in hot waters for the longest time, Barchi did a good job in keeping his decision of letting her go close to his chest,.... He also decided on Flood's suspension without little or no feedback from other (which in my opinion) was an error.

I think this is good for RU as our last two President were well known for their inaction and propensity to organization based decisions.
