Three first round picks so far. I know, plug and play, but when that many players go early, you're missing out on some big time playmakers. Greggie's going to have his work cut out without Bosa and Apple.

To be clear... 3 TOP 10 picks (not just first round)...
but, i hear Urban don't rebuild........... he just re-loads

somehow i ain't too concerned for them.....

Uhm, yeah, they'll be fine.
Well, it's relative. Yeah, they'll be fine when my Scarlet Knights visit Columbus, but I think they're going to stumble when it comes to mounting a campaign for the Playoffs.

They'll definitely be tested early, especially on defense, with Bowling Green, Tulsa and Oklahoma the first three games.

Maybe you don't follow recruiting closely. Ohio State is top 5 in recruting every year. They are currently number 1 for 2017. They will be fine. They will still probably beat Michigan every year which will cause Harbaugh to jump to the NFL after having a nervous breakdown.

Ohio State had 5 players selected in round 1 of the draft.Another 5 players will likely be selected in the remaining rounds.Winning national championships attracts superior talent which then results in high draft selection. The advantages elite schools like Ohio State have in recruiting is readily apparent after watching the NFL draft. Its a continuous cycle of reloading elite talent.

They won a title with their third string QB. I think they'll be fine.

There is a six letter word that describes the Buckeye situation. RELOAD.

Osu is stacked. The middle linebacker Raekwon McMillan is ferocious. Probably a top 15 pick soon. They have guys like that just waiting to take over

CFB is a total fraud. We have a sucker program. You can't compete with a team that is stacked with NFL ready players. I am losing interest in CFB since it is just not that much fun when you know before the season starts that there are five games you have no shot at winning. This year it may be seven.

I wishing we would be hurting next year like OSU.

We'll miss you.

Oh wait...

I'd love to have the same level of hurt next year, their hurt is like a flesh wound, we are missing entire limbs

Yep....the rich get richer

I hear that tOSU lost their very highly esteemed DC from last year, I'm forgetting for the moment where he went to, but that could create a big hole for them.

And in the NFL if you don't have a premier QB you have no realistic shot either. And there are probably less than 10 of those in a 32 team league.

Actually five in total in the first round. But the prognosticators have them ranked in the top ten nationally and Urban Meyer seems to just reload every year, but we shall see.

Must be the same idiot complaining about playing in the AAC and not playing in the National Championship every year.

Agreed. I think we go bowling as well this year. 6 wins is doable with our schedule, our roster and our coaching staff.

Our ROSTER? We have 2 position groups we can count on and there is a serious lack of quality depth in mist groups.

Our SCHEDULE? Possibly are most difficult ever.

Our STAFF? Like I just said in another thread will take a minor miracle to get to a bowl game.

We'll have to agree to disagree then. 6 wins imho is doable this season with the resources we have and the opponents we face. I predict we get 6 regular season wins and a bowl win to make it a final record of 7-6. I also think we upset one of the power teams on our schedule also making for Ash's first win over a top 25 opponent (maybe it is the homer in me talking).

If you'd like, save my post for reference so we can compare it with the actual results at end of season.

Tell my why you apparently think this is an east schedule. I think it's brutal and is NOT set up well at all. Been through it several times already just curious where you're coming from. Thanks.

I can see Nuts' view here and I can see Blitz's view. Which way this goes will be a function of injuries and QB play. First, regarding injuries, if we avoid key injuries in the major position groups we go bowling. If we do not, and have to rely on 2nd team, even 4-8 could be a stretch. Areas of grave concern in that we have no real 2-deep includes LB, CB. Next area of concern is WR, where other than Grant, none seems to stand out, and OL, which falls off a cliff after top 6. As for QB, top 2 need a really strong summer to get things in place and one has to emerge early in camp. If no one emerges and starting QB is selected based on being less terrible than the other, season could be over by early October. Overall, the fan base needs to be ready for the roller coaster, support the team, and wait for reinforcements over next couple of years.

BTW, an important reminder to pass on to all entering the stadium -- REMEMBER, POTENTIAL RECRUITS HERE THE BOOS SO DON'T BOO THE TEAM OR PLAYERS AT THE STADIUM. Last thing you want if the season spirals is to have solid recruits that can help us in the near future reconsider before signing day.

I think we need everything to go "perfect/our way" to touch 6 wins. We will be favored, maybe, twice all season.
