50 years ago, on January 29th, 1974, the Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Lynn Swann, Jack Lambert, John Stallworth and Mike Webster. What a haul, four future members of the NFL HOF and all integral parts of the Steelers' Super Bowl dynasty.

Also in the 1974 draft in the 17th round Tim Berra was picked by the Baltimore Colts

Lambert today - still skinny and scowling

Not mentioned was the the Steelers also signed Donnie Shell as a free agent, not sure if that was on the same day. Another NFL HOF'er.

The Jets first pick that year was Carl Barzilauskis. Ahead of Swann, Lambert, Stallworth, Randy Gradishar and Dave Casper.
Too Tall Jones was the first pick that year.
Dave Wannstedt went to the Pack in the 15th round. The same round as Billy "White Shoes" Johnson.
