OT: Abe Vigoda dead at 94

It was a competition between Abe and Betty White. A running joke on another forum was every time someone would pass away, they would say Abe Vigoda is still alive. RIP Mr. Vigoda.

He looked rather corpse like 40 years ago. An absolute superb character actor. Will be missed.
The Godfather did Abe a big favor having that guy play a young Tessio. He never looked nearly as good as that young guy.
I always thought it would be Clemenza.
Took a minute and looked for a picture of young Vigoda and only found this from 1951 Jimmy Durante show.

I always had an issue with that exchange. If Tessio was smarter he would have expected that Vito and Michael would have been ready for his flip.
He left us way too soon. Don't forget his stint as Mafia boss in "Sugar Hill."
I was very fortunate to know Mr Vigoda when I was in high school back in the late 90's.. He was a regular at a ice cream store in Ringwood that I worked at and always told me stories about the film business.. It's because of him that I went to film school and now work in the business.. Going to miss you, Abe.
Yeah, his daughter lives in Ringwood. He spent some time here in the 90s and early 2000s, but heard he went to a senior home at some point.

I always will remember him as 'Fish' in the Barney Miller Sitcom. He was the Detective who spent most of his day on the toilet and

Knew him first as Fish, since Barney Miller started in '74, when I was 12 and hadn't seen the Godfather yet. I remember first watching the Godfather a couple of years later and exclaiming, "Fish!" as soon as I first saw Tessio.
As mentioned looked 94 yrs old 40 years ago. Great character on Barney Miller and on his spinoff, Fish. RIP Abe.
