Baseball signs 10 year deal with Under Armour. Big time for the company. Not a little sports apparel compant anymore. Now has a seat at the big boy table.

Don't love hearing these mega deals from UA. With our deal coming up for bid, it might put some hesitation into further sponsorship of college teams, which would be one less bid to raise the bar.

Either way, hope RU stays with Nike as a blanket sponsor. They just gotta pay.

They were already at the big boy table. The sponsor some of the best athletes and teams on the planet and have a billions dollar value.

But without a major sports contract. Now they are on par with Nike, Addias .

They were not already at the big boys table. They signed Steph Curry and Jordan Spieth under minimal deals before they were superstars; those bets simply paid off. And their market cap is substantially lower than their main comps.

However, this deal could signal they are ready to sit at the big boy table. It's a big bet UA is making as the markets are looking for drivers for the company to sustain their sales growth, in particular in North America. This deal is a direct response by Kevin to address that market sentiment.

Rutgers may be interesting since we are the closest B10 team to Maryland. I wonder if Under Armor would want to start to expand their influence across the B10.

We are small compared to Michigan and Texas though since the deal usually includes traditional apparel like T shirts and sweatshirts that earn a lot of money on campus and in dept stores.

Rutgers does have over 40,000 students who probably all own at least 1 t shirt. We have 400k alumni and 1,000s of parents who buy apparel when they have a kid in school.
