The funny thing is that some of us have seen post-Super Bowl interviews of 49 other losing quarterbacks. And not one of them behaved as Cam did. The arrogance to think that the other 49 just didn't want it as bad as Cam and consequently weren't as upset as Cam was postgame is hard to take.
This was said about Peyton after losing the Super Bowl in 2010:
That Time Peyton Manning Was A Bad Sport And Barely Anyone Cared
>"Apparently some think this is a sign of poor sportsmanship from the NFL's greatest player. It's not. Walking off the field without congratulating Drew Brees may go against our misguided notion of what sportsmanship should be, but it wasn't at all disrespectful or bitter. It shows how much Peyton Manning wanted to win the game. And who can argue about that?<

Hmmmmmmm
He is a classless athlete. Glad my entire super bowl party guests were rooting for Denver. The funny thing is that some of us have seen post-Super Bowl interviews of 49 other losing quarterbacks. Other players have done the same thing and while I don't condone it I also think the tradition of mid field handshakes is kind of silly for grown men. That being said, my issue with Cam is that he loves the media, he loves the press, the podium, and talking after his big wins and AMAZING performances. If you want to be this bigger than life Superman Persona than you have to own up to it when things go wrong. On the flip side, I don't think the NFL should force a guy like Marshawn Lynch to do interviews when it really isn't his thing or in his comfort zone. This was said about Peyton after losing the Super Bowl in 2010:

I don't like him but he might be getting a bum rap for acting the way he did at the interview.

Actually if you guys could get over your hatred of Cam Newton which I'm sure began a long time ago, you would have seen him smiling and congratulating Peyton Manning on the field after the game. His walk out of the press con was because he was seated next to a Bronco player loudly bragging about how they shut Cam and the Panthers down. Cam was hearing this a decided he had enough. So all you Cam haters just keep on hating!I wasn't talking about any handshake with the winning quarterback. I was just talking about the postgame interview, where one gets to speak to the media, your fans, and the public in general. I know it's hard. But I can't recall another losing qb acting that way after the big game..
