OT- Car 54 Where Are You (funny)

Joe E Ross and Fred (Herman Munster) Gwynn. A number of long time character actors too.

It was on Sunday Night after Ed Sullivan. Hated the show because when it ended it was time for bed and the next day started a new school week lol.

I swear one of the cops in that show looks exactly like Ted Cruz.
I feel that way about Scott Walker.

He looks like somebody but I can't figure out who and it's driving me crazy.

80 % of the people on this board have no idea who Ed Sullivan was. "Don't he have something to do with Letterman, said Bevis" hehehehehe !!!

Fred Gwynn and Al Lewis. What Show were they in after this one ended?

There's a hold up in the Bronx,
Brooklyn's broken out in fights.
There's a traffic jam in Harlem
That's backed up to Jackson Heights.
There's a scout troup short a child,
Kruschev's due at Idlewild
Car 54, Where Are You?

For you younguns, Idlewild Airport was renamed JFK International Airport. Do I also need to tell you who was Kruschev? ;)

When I was a young kid my Dad and I watched this show every week. We howled with laughter every time Gunther Toody said " Ooh, ooh, jumping Jehoshaphat." The plots of this show were hilarious.

I've never seen Car 54 on replay. Is it available online or on Netflix ? It was only on TV for a few seasons but most every show is a classic. Thanks for posting this episode.

Watched on Nick at nite in the late 80's, also my 3 sons, classic comedy.

There were a lot of references to Yogi throughout the series.

The writers for Sgt.Bilko were the same as were these.

The show was on opposite the 2nd half of Ed Sullivan.

Decent bootleg copies can be gotten online.

I made 3 8 hour VHS tapes of the series, consisting of 20 episodes each.
