OT: Don't forget the Twilight Zone Marathon on SyFy already in progress

A few years ago,I was able to get a bootleg copy of the original episodes for about 40 bucks.

I was the perfect age for the series,as it started when I was 9."The After Hours" and "The Hitchhiker" were the two scariest episodes for me.Alas,I was at a high school football game when "The Eye of The Beholder" was first shown.

A chance to see some of the hidden gems that are not normally in the marathon rotation.

"Twilight Zone" is almost normal compared to current times

I bet I can find "Night Gallery" on Youtube.

Oh sh*t!! They started this 24 hours earlier than usual....arrrgh....missed the first seven episodes!!

Or just stream them on Netflix with no commercials. My kids and I (ages 11-15) have been binge watching them.

They've cut way too many scenes out of these episodes to be really enjoyed.
Yup. Back then, a 30 minute broadcast window consisted of about 26 minutes of programming and 4 minutes of commercials. Now the ratio is more like 22 to 8.

Right now they start showing Season 4, which is the rarely seen hour long episodes. These are generally not as highly regarded but there are some good ones. Jess-Belle, featuring Anne Francis; and Passage on the Lady Anne, featuring Joyce Van Patten, are two of the most romantic entries in the series. Season 4 also includes two different characters in the role of Satan -- Julie Newmar in Of Late I Think Of Cliffordville, and Burgess Meredith in Printer's Devil. Newmar is of course the hotter Satan (pun intended) but Meredith is the more believable.
