OT: Ezekial Elliott; ya big dummy.

Getting in a minor car accident isn't really worthy of punishment. It's not like he was drunk driving and killed someone.

Dude got in a fender bender. His lisence being suspended is no big deal.

I hope this is one of the things he did not learn from OSU. This is college football, not professional football.

He has got 1 game left then its off to the NFL. Urban wants to win and realizes this guy is someone else's problem after the bowl.

I hope this is one of the things ash has learned and brings with him here . No need to suspend a star player or even slap the wrist when you don't have to . This is college football , not a church choir .

Yes, like KF did this year. Let the entire defensive backfield run wild and commit crimes and then be back on the field for Fall practice. While you are at forget all discipline and let the players set their own rules.

"Elliott was cited for driving under suspension, driving without a license..."

Sounds like half the illegals in my area. People would be shocked if a beeper went off in their car every time they passed a driver without a license.

In the grand scheme of things, traffic citations don't seem like much of a reason for disciplinary action.

It's called flaunting your nose at the law. I'm sure the his driving privileges weren't revoked just because whoever made the call must have been a Michigan fan.

Facing Urban Meyers is the least of his worries. Zeke has to answer to Stacey and Dawn and I know there's a chance he may not play.

Urban Meyer recruited Aaron Hernandez and let him play while under a cloud of multiple issues.

Elliot's driving without a license isn't even a blip on Meyer's radar.

Non-story IMHO.
No it's a story, as far as how some look differently on what a star college player does.
Some take the hang em high approach , while others make excuses and put a no big deal label on it.
Driving on a suspended license is a minor thing, but shows not being allowed to do something because of a previous mistake(s) wasn't going to stop him from doing what he wanted.
Don't think it deserves the federal offense label, just shows the kid doesn't feel he has to follow the rules he thinks unimportant.
I just wonder if there will be an insurance problem with him driving on a suspended license.

He shouldn't be a starter, but allowed to play , as his discipline if he was covered by insurance.
If not, deserves to sit the whole game because of having an accident while driving on a suspended license and no insurance because of not having a valid license when he got into that accident.

The number people who incur license suspensions and do not drive is, percentage-wise, very small.

It was estimated back in the mid 80s that there were, in New Jersey alone, more than 300,000 people driving with suspended licenses (due in no small part to the fact that New Jersey will suspend your drivers license for a number of things that have absolutely nothing to do with driving).

hearing he didn't realize the license wa suspended. he had an unpaid ricket so the suspension was auromatic.

People saying they are hearing Ohio State is a disaster lol. We have a long way to go with all the schools that have armed robbers and rapists.

Did they say his license is suspended or cited of suspicion?
Cited of suspicion sounds more like he didn't have it on him. There is a record of his spreading in 2014 and taking safe driving to have it dismissed. Sounded to me his license should be fine but I honestly may have missed it.
Anyway- no big deal.

If he didn't know, then he shouldn't face any discipline
As far as having a long way to go BS, just let it be before starting a flame war with the posters that don't like OSU very much.
RU has had some of the problems you pointed out, but over the years OSU hasn't been squeaky clean itself.

Article stated: "Elliott was cited for driving under suspension, driving without a license and failure to control his car after he was involved in a crash at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Columbus, Ohio."

And not make it personal with attacks on Zeke because I'll make it personal.

Ahhhh- even just now I almost misread it as suspicion...didn't make any sense.

But some thought Laviano should have been gotten the electric chair for using a fake ID.

And the players in the fight/"riot"--not that big of a difference from what Corey Clement did at Wisconsin, who lied about his role as the one who initiated the fight, used slurs/epithets, and he did not miss a game due to the whole incident. Only difference is Clement hurt his hand, while the RU players broke someone's jaw. Not condoning what the RU guys did, but as someone pointed out in another thread, there is a lot more slack if you are a star player and the team is winning.

I defended Laviano for this, seeing as the U.S. drinking age is laughably high and is widely flouted vast numbers of college kids with fake ID's and binge drinking behind close doors. I did, however, call out his terrible judgement in lashing out at the fanbase during the Maryland game and on social media afterwards.

Tell me more about these rapists, are you referring to RU?

It's not like Jim Tressel has ever served his suspension or Urban Meyers' players have ever done anything wrong but RU has a perception of disaster.

I'm curious what punishment the board disciplinarians think Meyer should dole out to Elliott for his heinous crimes. I suspect that not too many college football teams punish their players for traffic citations like speeding tickets.

If it's true that Elliott didn't even know about the suspension (which happened to me many years ago - confusion over an unpaid fine I didn't know about), then I really don't see why the coach should be taking any action at all.

I also wonder how many of the strict disciplinarians around here have kids of their own.

For the record, Clement was suspended by the coach for the Minnesota game because of the incident.

Yet, you go on Cleveland.com (run by same company as NJ.com) - and the story is not mentioned in the top headline, "more" headlines, or anywhere in the 50+ articles on the main page. I only found it after searching "Elliott" in the search bar. No 5 stories about every player who ever got suspended at OSU under Meyer, no questioning the coaching staff's discipline or credibility. They even mention this in the article, but then don't say another thing about the conflicting report from tOSU and the police! Now it disappears....

"
An Ohio State spokesperson confirmed to cleveland.com that Elliott will not be suspended for the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 1. The spokesperson also said that Elliott had an expired license that he had not yet renewed.

However, court records show that Elliott had his license suspended after he failed to pay the fine for a speeding ticket he received on May 15 of this year. That
case did not immediately come up in the initial search of court records because Elliott's name is spelled incorrectly in the report.

are you drunk or just Asian? (btw..both are fine by me. Just wonderin ;) )
Remember folks, it's absolutely fine to be racist towards Asians - just don't say anything about African Americans.

The Tejay Johnson Crew should have told the arresting officers they didn't know it was illegal to rob a drug dealer & all would be hunky-dory, right?

No need to get into it here and now....but, what about the many OSU players driving cars with Dealer plates?

Team vote, at most. Oh wait.... OSU not LSU sorry! OSU should have to forfeit every game Elliot has participated in the last 3 years. If it was something minor like sucker punching some random guy in the back of head in a bar fight then maybe a one or two game suspension, but we can't let serious issues like unpaid speeding tickets and reduced priced tattoos for autographs go unpunished.

That's some impressive sarcasm right there.
