My long-running FREE keeper league hosted on Yahoo is in need of one new owner.

16 teams, typical 5x5 roto categories. Keep any five players from year to year. The open roster has some good talent to choose from: Kyle Tucker, Wyatt Langford, CJ Abrams, Garrett Crochet, Emmanuel Clase, Brenton Doyle, Pablo Lopez, among others that aren't as highly rated.

The bad news is this team drew the 16th pick in the draft, which isn't ideal but hey - you get to make two of the first 17 picks that way!

Let me know if you want in.

We don't have the NIL budget for prizes.

Re: keepers - so you want every player to enter the transfer portal every offseason?
I was in a long standing fantasy baseball draft dating back to the '80s and I quit 10 years ago because they changed to a keeper league and winners were based on fleecing teams out of contention who had nothing to lose current year. If you have 2 or 3 phenomenal keepers and 6 teams out of contention at the trading deadline the fair market value can be an entire team. Ollie Perez off of 1 good half year brought back 2 studs one year. The league solution was you always had to stay with a certain min max of value (it was an auction league). It worked a little but then teams started to trade injured guys with big contracts so they can flip them in a keeper trade. Took me about 5 years of the keeper league until i bailed. Now I do a $500 yahoo league with strangers.

I also like to start fresh every year with everyone equal.

I understand I am in the minority....league mates got sick of me complaining.

My 3 cents

I see how that could be a problem. I'm in two baseball leagues with different keeper rules. This one where you can keep any five guys forever, no contracts/limits/salary at all. It's your basic snake draft. So guys will rarely reach TOO early for prospects in the draft, as there can be a high bust rate/long time to wait for payoff. I have a lot of hard decisions in my keepers this year because my keepers from last year are older, recovering from injury, or busted. Freeman is still likely a keeper. Semien seems to be marginal now. Strider blew his arm out last year so I dropped him and stashed deGrom over the summer... but can I trust him? Arozarena flopped last year. I added other young options (Butler, McLain, Westburg, Vientos) - which of those guys will still be worth keeping a year from now?

In my other league, there's a rule where every player moves up two rounds from the previous year's draft round if you want to keep them again. So it rewards you more for drafting a guy late or adding one off the FA pile, but over time those players become less worth keeping. It definitely rewards people that aggressively look to add those players during the year.
