So my former boss is a real piece of work. He owns a food manufacturing company and recently had an article published on a local NBC affiliate promoting his new facility that he is opening and how it will create jobs etc. I guess the county gave him incentives to open a location there in order to get jobs.

fast forward to my point....these articles and videos are filled with lies. He continues to claim he does business with certain stores like Whole foods and even the Military when he does not, nor has he in the past 5 years.

I can't help but get angered every time i see his blatant lies getting published...i should probably ignore it but it just irks me.

Well my first step would be to air my food distribution grievances on my favorite college football message board. Beyond that I am at a loss.

You expose a liar by facing him or her with the truth. However I caution you professional liars are dangerous and best suited to pursue a life in politics.

You don't, unless someone's safety/welfare is being jeopardized. Move on. Shut that door. As is, you are choosing to empower that individual, and doing so is wasting your time and energy. Don't do that. Repeat: Don't do that.

Well he hurts tons of people in the process of enriching himself but i guess that is business. Definitely taking tax payers monies in FL but if those politicians are dumb enough to fall for it so be it.

theRU - there is one route that you could take which could lead to trouble for your former boss and be relatively painless for you. Big companies like Whole Foods don't like their names used without permission, even if they were a customer of your former boss. Make them aware that your former boss is claiming that they are customers, and then grab some popcorn and watch what transpires from a distance.

Just tell the Democrats that he is a republican, they will slander him to no end.

Keep in mind -
“Time heals all wounds and wounds all heels.”
"Never wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it."

I know a guy named "black mo" who happens to be a professional liar. He constantly blows up Facebook newsfeeds talking about how he is related to wiz khalifa and has been caught In the lie already, yet he continues to do it. He also once stole a cell phone and verizon records showed he made a call to a female friend from the number but to this day still denies stealing it. The beat thing to do with these people is to ignore them.

I never have and never will tell a lie.

Also, anything you read on a message board is a lie.

You should remain loyal to any and all former employers. Never do anything, like take another job, that could be construed as being disloyal to that one job you had one time.

If you have any evidence to support your position. Mail it to the reporter who did the piece you saw on the news.

The evidence i have is my inside knowledge of being a VP of operations for just under 3 years and seeing him constantly lie about what we do, how we do it, and who we did it for.

Trying to sell meals to airlines, and the military is one thing, but claiming that you do millions of dollars in business with them and advertising that as fact is just one of his shady ways of making his company look bigger and better than it is.

If you do anything that harms him or the business and he traces it to you (you just id' yourself) expect to be sued

Truthfulness is a complete defense to libel.

I second the idea of emailing the reporter to let him know the guy is lying. You could also notify the politicians involved or WholeFoods or a military liason or someone who would care that this guy is misrepresenting facts. That said, you ought to be sure you still know the extent of his business - things may have changed since you left, and he may not be lying. If you are then F him. Of he is lying and the politicians don't know he is lying, they will be majorly pissed. But of course they may know and not care.

Bullshitters in the business world are a dime-a-dozen. Unless he's really harming someone, and you can prove it, you have to let it go. Keeping this purely to business, not politics, does anyone believe everything Trump claims about his business success?

I would be very careful, since your industry is probably very interconnected and he can get even. Integrity is important, but so is feeding your family.
