OT: In other RU action

At least there is hope for next year with Scaife and other promising players joining the roster. Can't really say that about Football.

How much does Elon's coach make?

Hard to say..

Elon women’s basketball coach Charlotte Smith has agreed to a contract extension that will take her deal with the Phoenix across the next five years, through the 2020-21 season.

Elon, which, as a private school, typically doesn’t disclose contract details of its coaches or administrators, announced the move Wednesday.
Smith, who had a legendary college career at North Carolina and played in the WNBA, is in her first head-coaching job. She has been in charge at Elon for five seasons, compiling a record of 87-70 with three postseason appearances.

The Phoenix has reached the Women’s National Invitation Tournament each of the last two seasons.

Elon went 19-13 two seasons ago and 18-13 last season, which included a defeat of North Carolina State, Elon’s first victory against the Atlantic Coast Conference since it stepped up to the Division I level.

“Coach Smith has done a great job with our women’s basketball program over her first five seasons on and off the court,” Elon athletics director Dave Blank said in a prepared statement. “Our program has achieved great things, including postseason play and academic recognition under Coach Smith, and I am excited to know that our women’s basketball student-athletes will continue to benefit from her leadership.”

Womens hoops may win 6-8 games and therebis no fanbase left...Hobbs made a huge mistakes signing her to another contract..Scaife injury aside they weren't going to be good this year

She should do the honorable thing and hang up her sneakers. It's freakin' over, Viv, it's okay. You had a GREAT run! One of the GREATEST ever! Thank you!

1-16 in the second qtr from the field, ouch. Only 1 shot from ZIP. Supposedly our designated 3 point specialist went 0-7. Outscored from 3 point range again. Still early, but a work in progress and probably not a lot of wins unless a few people surprise.

Can someone clarify this for me, was it known that Scaife would be out when Hobbs renewed the contract?

How many wins does she need for this milestone?
