OT: Inventive way for fans behind a basket to try to distract free throw

I forget the year... But the scene was the A10 Championship game against PSU. Sometime mid 80s. In the student section behind the basket at the Rac, one of the kids dead-center in the section had a Penthouse centerfold that he would hold up whenever one of the Penn St. players went to the line.

I was under the basket then and don't remember that (alzheimers?) but I do remember Larry Bird at the RAC for the NIT and when he came to the line for free throws in 118 a MULTITUDE of fans jumped up and unrolled playmate centerfolds. Bird cracked up. Don't remember if he missed, but we triumphed by a point, I believe.

I was there at the very top of 118 ... waving a rubber chicken. I always thought it was the chicken that made Bird crack up. Fun fact... that was the last loss by Bird's team until the NCAA finals against Magic Johnson's MSU team the following year. I miss the days when we were good at hoops.
