Is the best thing about baseball. Stuff that comes out of his mouth is fantastic.

I love Keith. What did he just say?
They placed a mic down by hone plate and since there are about 10 people at the game it's picking up random conversations. He's commenting on them and called one guy a clown and then complained about two "chicks giggling the whole game".

Now they are talking about ice cream and Swedish fish. Also, debating bringing the guy sitting by the mic up to call an inning.

was just watching the game at lunch here in Philly. @50 people at this game. Mets going to be swept and not get home field for the first round!

Announced crowd of 13,238

I can't stand the Mets (Yankees fan), but I think Keith is great. Really knowledgeable and I enjoy listening to him. Ron Darling is quite good too. Howie Rose and the guy with the lisp are just complete tools though.

Disagree. Howie and Josh are excellent too. Mets have best announcing teams in baseball. Kinda weird that a Yankee fan would criticize the Mets radio team when you have John Sterling and Susan Waldman who just make your ears bleed.

exactly! While I may be biased being a mets fan, Susan Waldman should not be speaking in public.

John Sterling is also ridiculous w/ some of his calls, even our friend Mike F agrees:

Sorry, but if you have a lisp, then announcing probably shouldn't be your career. No argument on John Sterling and Susan Waldman though. They are the worst broadcasting team going. By far. They are completely self-serving. It is like listening to a Broadway play.

I miss Bobby Ojeda. He was not a total homer and not afraid to vent.
Gary, Keith and Ron are awesome.
I enjoy Howie and Josh on WOR radio too. Howie provides interesting commentary.

Gotcha. Thanks.

I'm glad he's not going anywhere! I really enjoy Keith and him going back and forth and Gary acting as the straight shooter.

Last night you could tell they were dying laughing when talking about the umpire's "sack" and "ball bag". I had to rewind it and watch it twice, had me cracking up.

Watched the last Mets -Yanks game broadcast on ESPN and hated it. Boring, cliche driven, and sleep inducing. I'll take KH and RD every time. I laugh out loud at something they say every game.

you just can't beat that team of Gary, Keith, and Ron
Actually you can, and you can do it with one person. Vin Scully.
No one can come close to Vin Scully.
Calm down Mets fans. Your team is pretty good but there others that are better.

Yup, you should be proud of a 97 loss Phillies team sweeping an absolutely meaningless series with the Mets playing all their backups today including starting Gilmartin. And the future gets even better for the Phillies with the squad you have. Looks like you'll be back in contention for the division in say 2025.

Ah yes. Vin Scully. My favorite Vin Scully moment was when he was absolutely dead silent for a solid 20 seconds after the ball went through Buckner's legs.

He hated the Mets almost as much as Met fans hated him.

I take it you have not looked at a Dodger score in about a week.

There has not been a better trio than Keith, Gary, and Ron.

MLB hitting experience in Keith, MLB pitching experience in Ron, and the voice of reason in Gary. Gary proves that you can be a big time fan and still not be an obnoxious "homer" announcer (take note Yankees). They are entertaining as hell.
