I know it's only rock n roll...but I like it!
Neil is the only one of those I'd be interested in seeing. McCartney is still entertaining, but his voice ain't what it used to be, even in the 90s. Never saw Dylan when he was younger - saw him about 4 years ago in Hoboken and he was simply horrible, mumble-singing with even less tone than he used to have, which is the worst for a guy like him, who writes such great lyrics.
Saw the Who in 1979 when they still could rock (9 days after a dozen or so people were trampled to death at a Who show in Cincy - at the Philly show they were selling t-shirts with footprints on them, saying "I survived the Who." Clever if a little tasteless. No desire to see half the band, especially given irony of their most famous tagline, "hope I die before I get old."
Saw the Stones in 1980, again when they could still rock and have no desire to see a 73-year old Jagger prancing about pretending to be 23. Keith Richard, who finally looks his age, actually has a decent solo album out.
Not sure on seeing Waters, although I imagine it can't be as good as Pink Floyd - saw then in '77 (Animals tour) and '80 (Wall tour).
Neil, however, despite his My, My, Hey, Hey line of "it's better to burn out, than to fade away," can still bring it. Saw his '79 Live Rust show and have seen him three times in the last 10 years,(solo and with Crazy Horse) all of which were great shows. His performances also never really depended on his "youth" like those of the Who and Stones, so I think it's easier for him to still deliver vs. what he used to deliver when he was young.
