Massive turnover of rosters is everywhere, especially with a coaching change. I think the OP's point is that Maryland has susbtantial NIL to get 5 high-major transfers, while RU is shopping at NJIT and GWU.Irrelevant.....3 players followed from Texas A&M and they lost Rodney Rice and Jacobi Gillespie, who were elite 3 point shooters. Add in Derek Queen going to the NBA and Julian Reese graduating and Maryland is much more likely to be around 10th to 12th right now in the B1G.
Myles Rice was a supposed HUGE signing by Indiana out.of Washington State and was a disappointment for Indiana last year. He is now at Maryland, maybe he's better with Buzz Williams vs Mike Woodson, which would have to be a YES, but not a given at all.
"Only difference is money" - pretty funny. They have a tradition of better basketball and a legit coach. Our program has become a laughingstock.Once again, Maryland quickly lands a transfer class that will help them succeed, while we have to settle for scraps. The only difference: Money.

Give our legit coach money, and he will recruit similarly."Only difference is money" - pretty funny. They have a tradition of better basketball and a legit coach. Our program has become a laughingstock.
Al, pike needs to make an effort to fundraise. I love him as a dude to have beers with but hes putting in next to zero effort on the fundraising front
C'mon, he's not legit, and he's becoming somewhat of a b&ll sh%t artist also.Give our legit coach money, and he will recruit similarly.

He was legit when he was taking us to NCAA Tournaments wasn’t he? Fanbase hasn’t provided the support to maintain a tournament caliber team. Losing Cam, Cliff, and the forward took its toll. He has to BS because he can’t say the fanbase isn’t providing the support.C'mon, he's not legit, and he's becoming somewhat of a b&ll sh%t artist also.
That in of itself is a fallacy. You want to win without the players. But That isn’t practical anymore because players will leave once they develop. Even Lathan Left and he has to develop a lot more. But we can't.
So this fantasy land you post about 15 times a day isn't happening.
Need a program and system that attempts to succeed without elite.
I don’t think tradition matters as much with NIL"Only difference is money" - pretty funny. They have a tradition of better basketball and a legit coach. Our program has become a laughingstock.

I’m an optimist and hope people will step up. Maybe not $4M but hopeful $2MBut thinking were getting an influx of new additonal $4m in donations next year (and every year going forward) is practical?
Maryland collective allows for tax deduction donations to NIL.I’m an optimist and hope people will step up. Maybe not $4M but hopeful $2M
With the transfer portal and nil I don't think you can build a program over two to three years with the same lids staying put and commiting for the long haul. I think you have to basically start from scratch each off season.Building year? You played yourself Hawk no such thing as “building” in CBB, it’s rare. Build as in actually build with other players not Freshman/sophomores. Especially at Rutgers.
