best show on television...why aren't more people watching this. The acting, writing, and intense detail to the time period is extraordinary. Eva Green owns this show but Timothy Dalton, Josh Hartnett, Patti LuPone, and Billie Piper all give great performances. After dispatching of Evelyn and Lucifer himself last year, Vanessa looks to be encountering a new threat (no spoiler but he is a familiar name from British Literature. She is like the ultimate tragic character...will never be at peace because what inside her and who will always be following her..destined to be alone. The Lily/Dorian Gray story seems like its going to be sadistic and full of carnage and I wonder if they want Victor to create a new group of "monsters". Ethan looks to be rescued by Sir Malcom and that Indian dude and go back to England to help Vanessa. This show seems to just get better with each and every episode and cannot wait until this motley crew of monsters is reunited in one scene.

If you havent started yet, find season 1 and watch it. Lots of dialogue at first but the payoff is worth it as the seasn progress especially when Vanessa becomes possessed. The 2nd season is where the series really hits its stride with Emily Poole plotting to deliver Vanessa to Lucifer.

Bac is right. Excellent show. New episode just started. More people should be watching this.

Bac, I'm on strike until Eva Green goes topless again. I'm getting tired of seeing topless demon child looking creatures. It makes me feel to much like a Ped U Fan.

took me two years to get my wife to watch GOT. No chance in hell she watches this......

I tried a couple episodes of PD and, in spite of the obvious appeal of Eva Green, I found it to be too slow. I lost interest.

Same here, I think I got 1 1/2 episodes in when it first came out but was never "intrigued".

Here is the "Monster" which Dr. Frankenstein has created on this outstanding show. The show is not for the average American viewer and I believe
it appeals to the more mature European audience which has more culture and taste then our Country.

agree with this, our country doesnt seem to have the intellectual capacity to watch shows like this...plus Im surprised that the media isnt bitching about the lack of black characters on the show..even though there are minorities on the show...two Indians on the show..one from India and one an American Indian and there was even a trannie last year

Well, you probably shouldn't be all that surprised.
The "media" has no reason to "bitch" about lack of diversity when there are multiple minorities in a show set in 1800s England. The stories pointing out lack of diversity usually come more in movies set in, say, Egypt, where the cast is somehow all-white.

They should make a movie about George Washington with Will Smith or Denzel Washington playing George Washington...let's see how that goes, lol.

Would like to thank you guys (bac) for creating this thread. Started watching the show cause of this post on the board. Wouldn't have known about the show otherwise surprisingly.

With that being said, just like the above comments say, season 1 is a bit on the boring side with a lot of dialogue and not as much action. Season 2 had me absolutely fall in love with show, that's when the sh*t starts hitting the fan wow! Super good stuff. Season 3 so far is just as thrilling.

Not sure if you noticed, but there was all kinds of woe and lamentation when Elba was cast as Heimdall (ironically the whitest of gods, according to descriptions in Norse mythology) and calls to boycott Star Wars over the casting of Boyenga.

And, yes, the show is spectacular. It was up to 599k viewers last week, and that may have been the best acting the show has seen so far.

Sunday's episode was jaw-dropping good. Some of the best acting performances I think I've ever seen.

Haven't seen the show, but Eva Green might be the best "Bond Girl" ever in maybe the best Bond movie ever.

Not one comment or like for this? Really? Damn, I thought this would be the most liked post I've ever posted. Beginning to worry about some of you...

Fantastic show and Season 2 has "taken it to another level" IMHO. The way each "monster" has been introduced, the development of their characters, has been fantastic.
