I've had the honor of meeting Mr. Tom Nosker because he plays in my friend's band. He also has been in some Rutgers promo videos run during football games. Good guy. Had no idea how many RU $$$ he's contributed with his research and inventions.

Had the pleasure of being taught by Tom and and Rich Renfree during my time in Engineering. Didn't realize Rich passed on....may he RIP.

Didn't realize that it had RU origins. I once owned stock in plastic lumber and thought it had tremendous potential. Not an expensive stock, but it never caught on so I finally got rid of it. Could have replaced my metal mailbox.

He reminded me of a guy from my HS with 30+ patents from IBM. He had a perfect SAT score and after college ended-up at IBM's Watson Research Center. One night I saw him drunk in a local gin mill. We got to talking and he said "You think YOU have stress? Imagine your boss calling you into his office and telling you you have to invent materials that don't even exist!". He was a dead a few years later.

graphene-plastic materials could mean the end of metal and even x-ray detectors to alert of unauthorized arms and weapons....
