I prefer not to.Did you ever see the video of him busting his leg coming off the top rope? It's nasty.
Yeah, it was really bad. Like some of those basketball injuries they won't replay. I thought Sid was a great big man and his NWA/WCW days were much better than his WWF days.I prefer not to.
One of the most gruesome injuries in sports history. Crazy part was that Scott Steiner kept beating on Sid while he was on the mat, screaming with two kneecaps in his right leg.

I was a huge wrestling fan, up until about 1989-90, and I must have missed Sid at the peak of his career. Had not realized he was part of the Four Horsemen.
I remember reading about that incident in magazines that were still kayfabe when it came to the business. I knew it wasn't real, but was always freaked out when real life stuff happened behind the scenes. Kind of like when Jim Duggan and Iron Shiek got arrested on the Parkway for drugs.I was a huge wrestling fan, up until about 1989-90, and I must have missed Sid at the peak of his career. Also, this is from the Wikipedia page on him:
"During a WCW tour of Europe, both Eudy and Arn Anderson were involved in an argument at a hotel bar in the English town of Blackburn on October 27, 1993. Anderson threatened Eudy with a broken bottle; after being sent to their rooms by security chief Doug Dillinger, Eudy later came to Anderson's room and attacked him with a chair leg, and Anderson retaliated with a pair of scissors. Eudy received four stab wounds and Anderson received 20, losing a pint and a half of blood in the process. The fight was broken up by fellow wrestler 2 Cold Scorpio, who was credited with saving Anderson's life. Neither man pressed charges against the other, and British police declined to do so since both men would soon be leaving the country. Eudy was later fired over the incident."
The Iron Sheik was crazy. His Stern show appearances were wild.I remember reading about that incident in magazines that were still kayfabe when it came to the business. Piper was universally lauded as one of the good guysThe Iron Sheik was crazy. His Stern show appearances were wild.
I was reading up on Rowdy Roddy Piper recently, and realized a lot of the wrestlers stayed friends after their careers ended.
Back in 1989 or 1990, I was in a small plane in Eastern Tennessee with some WCW wrestlers. I think one of them was Terry funk. They had spent the night partying, and they smelled like it!Piper was universally lauded as one of the good guys
Beefcake and Hulk were real life buddies
Undertaker, Rikishi, Godfather, etc. were part of the Bone Street Krew, and DX were all friends in real life
I think a lot of it comes from who you naturally bond with, but also who you're teamed up with, making you work together (and often times, due to the times of matches, etc.) traveling together as well
Not your exact timeline but I kinda missed the Sid Vicious/Psycho Sid era tooI was a huge wrestling fan, up until about 1989-90, and I must have missed Sid at the peak of his career. Had not realized he was part of the Four Horsemen.
Oh man! The Funks' were certifiably insane. They used to party with Ric Flair (who might be crazier than they were). I can only imagine the kind of shenanigans that went downBack in 1989 or 1990, I was in a small plane in Eastern Tennessee with some WCW wrestlers. I think one of them was Terry funk.
