If you get a chance, check out the Real Sports (HBO) segment on Marc Buoniconti. It is very inspiring on many levels. Also talks about transplanting human Schwann cells to treat patients with recent spinal cord injuries. While it doesn't go into too much detail about the early results, it did show a patient able to walk with the aid of a walker. I know the clinical tests are in the early stages, but it must offer hope to Eric and others who suffer from spinal cord injuries.
