Diagnosed with cancer 2 days ago. Died December 28.

Thought he would live forever. Twitter is burning up with tributes from Joe Perry, Ozzy, Metallica.

They should bury him with the game machine from the Rainbow Bar.

RIP Lemmy. Talented fellow. Motorhead were pioneers. Ace of Spades and Born to Raise Hell are to of my favorite songs.

Back in September, while reading the Inquirer I came across this review of Motorhead's gig in Philly around the same time. So there's this:

"The band had to cancel dates this month and cut some sets short due to Lemmy's poor health. He turns 70 this year and is far less fit for battle than septuagenarian rockers Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Several concertgoers Tuesday could be heard talking about the very real possibility this could be Motörhead's final tour."

Did not look good last month:

RIP Lemmy, I guess you were finally killed by death.

I was introduced to Lemmy at The Birch Hill night club around 10 years ago. Talked to him for about 10 minutes before I couldn't take his moles and accent anymore, lol.

I was told by guys who toured with him that he went through a bottle of Jack Daniels a night. If you went out drinking with him, he gave you your own bottle of JD.

Lemmy is God

Beavis: How come Lemmy has those two big Cocoa Puffs stuck to his cheek?
Butt-Head: Because it looks cool.
Beavis: Oh, yeah, hmm, heh, heh. I forgot.
Butt-Head: Fartknocker.
