OT: RIP Robbie Bachman -BTO

Like my father used to say, after 50 there’s no guarantees. Actually no guarantees before 50 but I got the point. 69 is not young. Average life expectancy for men is what, 73 ? So not that far off

76.1 in 2022, down slightly due to the pandemic.

RIP Robbie.
Just saw this recent interview with Robbie's brother Randy about the writing and production of Takin' Care of Business.
It's an interesting but crazy story.

For those who were fortunate enough to have a career in rock music, especially if they were from the 60s and 70s, living to 70 is lucky. Life on the road can be very unhealthy in many ways, especially back in that era when substance abuse was not just prevalent but almost expected. That lifestyle can certainly take 10 -15 yrs off of your life.

One good thing guitarMan, we’ve got a boatload of clean and sober old rockers

If the video is correct, BTO & The Guess Who not being in the R & R HOF is completely ridiculous and should be corrected ASAP!

I don’t know about BTO, I saw them and Elvin Bishop live in Charleston SC 1975

Guess Who should be a no brainer
