I am not blaming this on Chris Carlin and Kyle Flood, but the SiriusXM's College Sports channel, Channel 84, has become a shadow of itself. No more Finebaum, no more Bill King, no more Tim Brando. One no-name show after another. The morning guys are pathetic. The hosts and their guests on most shows are ho-hum. Thinking of not renewing my car's already vastly discounted (negotiated) SiriusXm service since Channel 84 and a music channel or two are the only channels I listen to. Channel 84 is terrible.

Once Bill King left, I basically stopped listening.

And the rest as you have mentioned... The station basically blows now. Packard holds his own, but the supporting cast just isn't good.

I agree. It was a great listen a couple years ago, now it isn't even worth turning up to listen.

Pretty much this. King knew his stuff and really enjoyed college football.

Also, he had me as a guest on his show a couple times early in the Schiano years.

While Bill KIng was terrific, I do enjoy Rick Neuheisel in the morning. And Finebaum can be found on another Sirius Channel at 3pm. I also enjoy listening to Eric Legrand, Chris Carlin and others. All College Football all day long. I'm in the car a lot during the day, so this channel is very good for me
.
Plus you can listen to many live football games while driving home from a Rutgers game.

Still beats WFAN by a very large margin.

Agree with your comments about King, Neuheisel, and WFAN. Finebaum, who always did lots of SEC, now does all SEC ... do not like the new show as much. The morning guys on Channel 84 are complete amateurs. As is Chris Childers, who works with Neuheisel -- Childers tells us 50 times a show how enthusiastic he is about college sports. To think he replaced Tim Brando. Brando was perceptive, opinionated, articulate, a great interviewer, had a sense of humor, was topical, and was well connected with media and established coaches all over the country. Everything Childers isn't.

I like Neuheisel, I really like Packer. I listen to the morning show because who else is there? Boomer and Carton? Mike and Mike? McElroy is awful though.

Flood is actually pretty good by the way.

I don't mind the mcelRoy and Zarzour.
Childers and Neuheisal are good.
Carlin and whomever his roaming partner is is generally good.

Packer is the star of the network in my opinion.

I hated Feinbaum. Way to Sec centric for a National Broadcast.

I liked I'll King as well, but his problem was EVERYTHING was recruiting talk. Not everybody want recruiting talk like that especially in morning drive.

And yes Flood does very well. Actually enjoy it when he is on

I miss Jake Arute. I hope he is well.

What do you like about Childers? I've listened to him quite a bit and just do not find him perceptive or engaging or particularly knowledgeable about college football history.

Always thought Kyle Flood's greatest strength was that he was a very good public speaker. Could see him doing well on TV or radio. Shame did not translate to recruiting.

I like Childers because he talks like normal average people talk about college sports.

Love the goofball topics.

The thing about Childers is that he acts like a fan rather than a radio personality. I don't think he can hold his own but pair him with Neuheisel who is very knowledgeable and it is a pretty good compliment.
