OT: Sure... the Mets have Tim Tebow. But the Yanks have Russel Wilson!

My friend and I both agreed this winter, that while the Yanks are stacked and have depth, they were weak at the quarterback position.

If this doesn't work out, they can always go look for a QB at the July 31 trade deadline.

This is totally stupid. All he has to do is blow out his knee and bye bye football income. I am actually surprised that there are not stipulations in his contract preventing something like this.

Expect a lot of 2 TE sets with Stanton and Judge. Russell will have a field day hitting these guys over the middle.

Love this quote by Cashman. Completely admits this a publicity stunt.
"After talking to a number of our players, there is a genuine excitement in having Russell join us for a short time in camp."

All that's left is for the Phillies to draft Jameis Winston and we're all set

Do baseball players blow out knees?

I am sorry but I still feel the Yankees need to draft a qb in the first round. I am leaning toward Josh Rosen but would be happy with one of the big 3. Wilson's game is not suited to the Yankee offense.

Judge will be a devastating red zone target. A walking mismatch. There are questions on the OL, though.

Wow, so many Yankee fans killed the Mets over Tebow, now this, lol.

I'm a Mets fan, but there is no comparison. Tebow represents "look at me, look at me". Same thing I don't/didn't like about Brady, Pete Carroll, Reggie Miller, and Tim Higgins (although I've forgiven Higgins a bit after his court club appearance). Wilson doesn't seem to be the same way. Oh yeah, and he can actually play QB, so he deserves to be on a baseball team.

Imagine a lineup of Judge, Stanton and Tebow. The Yankees need that last piece to win the World Series.

As a Yankees fan I LOVE this.

A relatable and proven champion who can come into spring training and teach this talented but young team valuable lessons on leadership, preparation, and what it takes to win it all.

Cashman knows what he's doing.
