OT-Ticketmaster Settles Big Lawsuit-Check Your Online Account!

First reported Sunday night Ticketmaster has worked out the final details of its class action lawsuit Schlesinger v. Ticketmaster where Ticketmaster was accused of charging excessive fees. ***If you used Ticketmaster.com from 1999-2015 you MAY WELL HAVE VOUCHERS FOR FREE TICKETS OR DISCOUNTED TICKETS/DISCOUNTED UPS SHiPPING IN YOUR ACCOUNT.

MY tailgate buddies and myself each earned the maximum "payout."

1) 17 Vouchers for a free pair of General Admission type tickets. Vouchers good into 2020.
2) 17 Vouchers for a $2.50 per ticket/$5 pair discount on future tickets THRU 2020
3) Several $5 vouchers towards UPS shipping (I had Yankees playoff tickets shipped UPS).

Log into your Ticketmaster account to check. Towards the bottom left look for a "check my vouchers" link.

Ticketmaster claims vouchers will be able to be used for 60% of shows and is making $10 million in tickets available through 2017. Good luck!
 
A couple of thoughts and questions on this.

I went to my account and it states that this is only available on first sale tickets not resales, which makes sense. It also states there are a limited amount of tickets at each event, and is restricted to certain events. Therefore there is a high risk that you won't get tickets when you try, also I am sure the resellers will be in there quickly to. I looked at the list of eligible events....not much in the NY area....anyway as always, I am guessing the lawyers are the biggest winners here. Do you think these will be easy to get?

I've gone to at least 2-3 events a year for the past 15 years probably, and I'm always the guy who buys the tickets. But I didn't get any vouchers. I did get $6.75 in vouchers!
 
Tix4me-you caught the list just posted. Took me 90 min but ordered a pair for Keith Urban. You may need to order by mail in order to work. Show types expected if not a tad better than expected. Some great shows if u R in certain areas. Kenny Chesney Thursday in Bristow/VA Beach Va for one. Camden has the Alabama Shakes and 1-2 up and coming country artists.

Yeah they definitely are having glitches in their system. I got 1 event and 1 fee voucher. I've been reading that some people have gone into their accounts and had X number of shows/vouchers and then went in a day or two later and the numbers completely changed. I also have read about (and its happening for me) that the list of available shows will not show up at all.

UPDATE: the list shows up for me now
 
My son initially had 14 free tickets on his account but when he checked again last night the vouchers disappeared and were replace with a $33 credit to be used toward future purchases.
 
I was credited with three vouchers for two free tickets, plus three for the $2.25 discount. Seems like the list contains mostly amphitheater shows. I'll have to keep this in mind when they release next year's schedule for Camden.
 
They are only good for general admission seating?

Tried for some tickets, and got this response:

Voucher says:

Use this code to receive two free General Admission tickets for eligible events (subject to availability and limitations)
 
I had well over 20 vouchers, just went back....Ticketmaster is crashing due to......

Oh how nice. Spent 25 bucks on Prophets of Rage tix maybe 10 days ago. Find out today I can get free GA tix to the concert.
 
What a crock of crap. Checked this morning and there were a lot of shows in Camden and Holmdel, but I could not get my codes to load. I got my codes to load (34 free tickets in total), but now there are no shows in NJ at all available.
 
So, my vouchers reappeared, and shows in Holmdel reappared. Tried for Hall and Oates, Heart, ZZ Top and others, all to be told that my vouchers are not good for these shows, even though they are on the list. Another crock of crap.
 
It's probably going to mean that they are going to have sell out crowds at places like the State Theater for bassoon concertos or a Hot Tuna tribute band concert for the next 3 years or so.

Wasn't an error code--it was a message that stated I could not buy tickets with the code that I entered. I had 17 individual code numbers that said "This code is potentially redeemable for two General Admission tickets for certain Live Nation concert events subject to availability and limitations. Please be aware that due to limited availability, we expect these settlement ticket codes to be redeemed quickly. "

None of them worked.
 
I got 17 codes... but i guess I was late... everything in new jersey seems to have been sold out... :( even though there are tickets available....

So i have to check every day as tickets become available and continue to check all the time....

I got that same error code. If GA tickets are available, I would think it should allow you to get the tickets right?

Every single eligible show across the country is sold out. No luck redeeming any of my 7 pairs. Hold out hope they they announce more shows?
 
I got the max of 17 pairs of ticket vouchers. For the heck of it, I decided to try to buy some in another state. Even though it said tickets available, when I went to put in the code, it said sorry, invalid code, or something to that effect.
 
UPDATE-Ticketmaster added both shows and new tickets at 10pm last night. Didnt get on until the open at 4AMish. Used 16 of my 17 vouchers. The only local show I got shut out on was the Goo-Goo Dolls and saw them in a great mood at Belmont after Pharoah won the triple crown last summer.

If that's what youre getting the new tickets probably sold out this AM since they have been on sale since 10pm. Received that message also but far less often. Also I ordered from 5am-9am.

***knighgtshift-a biggie-the code numbers changed overnight. Mine now all start/ed with repetitions of 8s and 9s. Check to see if new code numbers.

Thank you. But no luck. All of the shows in Holmdel disappeared from the list.
 
I noticed these vouchers don't expire until 2020. I'm going to wait a year and see what better shows are available then. For the foreseeable future, these things are worthless

I highly doubt many people will use their vouchers as there is a cap on how much Ticketmaster has to meet. I think it's somewhere near 50 million in free tickets.

I don't know as much about Cypress Hill or Public Enemy, but Rage Against the Machine has usually been critical of both major parties. I can't see them supporting Hillary.
